How To Make A Perfect Salad

1. Choose your base

  • red and green leaf lettuce – sweet, delicate flavor
  • butter lettuce – subtle, buttery flavor
  • arugula – bold, peppery flavor
  • mizunia – mild, earthy flavor
  • romaine – sweet, gentle flavor
  • baby spinach – mild, earthy flavor

2. Add fruit and veggies

  • avocado
  • cucumber
  • cherry tomatoes
  • bell pepper
  • strawberries
  • blueberries
  • grapes
  • roasted beets
  • corn kernels

3. Mix in crunch

  • nuts
  • carrot
  • apples or pears
  • celery
  • radishes
  • hemp seeds

4. Bring the flavor

  • red onion
  • scallions
  • fennel
  • dried fruit
  • cooked beans

5. Sprinkle with dressing

  • olive oil base
  • tahini base
  • yoghurt base

Simple Vinaigrette Salad Dressing:

  • 3 tablespoons of extra virgin cold press olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
  • pinch of salt and black pepper

Mix all together and serve.

Simple Tahini Dressing:

  • 1/2 cup of tahini
  • juice from 1 lemon
  • water to adjust a thickness
  • pinch of salt and black pepper

Mix all together and serve.
